my Lineup board from the final project of first year (!!) Can’t believe its over already.
I think Look 2 is my favourite… might even have to attempt making the striped blazer…

Trouser project photoshoot…
thanks Katie Matten for traipsing round Camden town with me and modelling in the rain!
going to post in several parts because tumblr seems to gets confused by large groups of images.

Peplums. Generally speaking oversized waist frills aren’t my idea of style heaven, but this season’s popular trend is gradually wearing me down. Givenchy’s structural shapes, Peter Pilotto’s graphic styling and the dramatic volume at McQueen all looked stunning on the catwalk and definitely make a statement.
BUT. My main issue is that it’s impossible to layer without ruining the look. These pieces are one-item outfits. Add a coat and it just doesn’t work- which is a problem when our charming spring weather can veer from blue skies and sun to torrential rain. And yesterday it was both simultaneously.
The other trouble is finding a real life situation to wear one. Can you even sit down in a peplum? Do you have to keep a foot of space around you at all times to avoid crushing it? Imagine taking on public transport.
Maybe I could consider a peplum if I didn’t have to walk anywhere, or sit down/ lie down/ do anything other than be chauffer driven to cocktail parties. But then I’m not on Made in Chelsea. Regrettably.
*I just watched an episode in which Caggie boarded a flight to New York wearing an immaculate white suit and huge wedge heels. White! On a plane?! Oh, to live in a world where I don’t fly Economy wearing old sweatpants and a hoodie.
I walk past the falling phone boxes on Old London Road in Kingston all the time and never bat an eyelid. But they’re pretty cool when you stop and look!
All this sunshine already caused the spontaneous purchase of Reading festival tickets.
Now I’ve developed an appreciation for friendship bracelets that normally only ever emerges in the summer holidays and a major urge to buy a pair of crochet Toms. (and maybe some snazzy new festival wellies!) If this weather carries on much longer I’m fairly sure I’ll be bankrupt by the end of the week.
Here’s Alexa Chung looking rather summery and making Superga’s look ridicously cool. Obviously I now want a pair.

Awesome visual effects…costumes by the genius Colleen Atwood… Charlize Theron in full on crazy bitch mode!? I’m fairly sure Snow White and the Huntsman is going to blow my mind.
